Sometimes Pastors need a place...

Welcome to Shepherd's Haven, where restoration happens. Our housing locations are more than just homes; they're sanctuaries of healing for pastors seeking solace and renewal. Rooted in the Christian principles of repentance and redemption, our ministry locations provide a supportive environment for wounded pastors to rebuild their lives. Each residence is a haven of tranquility, fostering spiritual growth and connection. With a commitment to grace and restoration, we offer a place where pastors can find solace, rediscover purpose, and embark on a journey of transformation. Experience the power of God in rebuilding through repentance and redemption.

Everything Has A Journey

From a once grand mansion to a derelict pile of ruble, this house has had quite the storybook tale! With construction beginning in 1898 and completed in 1908 the Brown House has stood watch over Howard and Railroad street in Chadbourn, NC for over 110 Years. With it's Corinthian columns and it's elaborate Georgian  style there was no comparison in the town! This stately home was owned and kept by the Brown, Lewis, & the Garrell families. Serving as an icon for the town, it has been well-loved and known far and wide for it's grandeur.  We are blessed!
In October 2016 Hurricane Matthew caused major damage to the home! A 70 year old tree fell, collapsing the porch and removing the front section of roof overhang. It was considered a partial loss and steps were taken to stabilize the structure, limit damage, and plans were made to clean up the grounds. But just 16 months later southeastern North Carolina was brought another Hurricane! Florence dealt the grand manor another hard blow, nearly 30 inches of rain fell into the structure over two days! The resulting damage took the home to "the pit of despair" as many in the community saw nothing but destruction and waste! The home sat for nearly two years as a pile of ruble, left alone to rot, before a purpose was visualized and R3 Ministries took charge of the Restoration of the "Big House" in Chadbourn!
We are enduring all the hardships that the global pandemic has brought, every shortage, deficiency, labor shortage, etc... God has a plan and purpose for this house to stand again! Giving testament to God's  Glory and His Ability to renew what was once thought lost for good! Restoration is happening! We have dedicated this beautiful structure to the will of God! It will rise and become a beacon of hope and a physical space for the presence of our Lord to abide. A massive amount of labor has been done: windows, siding, a huge cleanup effort, sandblasting, paint, framing, electrical, insulation, sheetrock, etc...
As of April 2023, We are very positive about the house being ready this year! Things are close to being sealed in and interior work being completed soon there after! We desire your prayers and your continued support as we work diligently to finish the project.

We have  a Facebook page dedicated to the restoration effort, Please go there to see the weekly updates and follow our progress!

Our Vision

As you see our vision and heart for the restoration of the house, We ask you to consider partnering with us on this journey through financial sponsorship! We hope that you have seen our passion for the need for this ministry and all it's moving parts! We will not charge a Pastor one dime to come and find the ministry they feel they need! We have setup a scholarship for folks for donate to. We have had a great outpouring of church groups and denominational involvement so far, but of course more is needed. Giving is easy here on the website and all contributions are tax detectable as we are a registered 501c3 nonprofit. We have and are doing the things necessary to make Shepherd's Haven the best place on Earth for Pastors to come, find what they need, and return to the flock a better leader for their Families, their Church, and their Communities!
